So Far...
We are now in Perth during what seems to be the worst time to visit since it's coming to summer. But the weather has been great so far. Sure, the sun is scorching but as long as we're prepared with sun block, proper clothes unlike me wearing jeans in Paris while it was 36 degrees...
I haven't been in the mood to whip out my camera much yet. In fact, we haven't been out that much since I've been down with a nasty food poisoning with piercing cramps on the first day and followed by me having my first day of menses today. I'm hoping all that stomach pain will melt away tomorrow.
We had dinner with Mardi and Wilf who are long time friends of my sis-in-law and they were wonderful! Their home was absolutely lovely, we just felt so relaxed there. And they cooked us a fantastic pizza dinner with their brick oven. I never knew there was so much difference when baked in stone ovens! Already the seemingly simple potato pizza was so tasty, don't have to say how yummy the one with bacon, tomatoes and sun dried tomatoes tasted. Sigh. I wish my stomach could have accommodated more.
So what we've got planned is to take a day tour to the Pinnacles, which most Perth folks we've met so far have not been. Not a good sign but I'm looking forward to the sand boarding. Then when Jan comes, we'll visit Rottnest Island and see the small marsupials or big rats :)
